HOW DO YOU WANT YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER TO DELIVER YOUR PHOTOS

The wedding day is over. Now you have to wait to see the photos and what your wedding photographer has created during the wedding ceremony and wedding party for you. There are a couple of ways to deliver your photos and this has to be discussed with your wedding photographer before you choose them.

CLASSIC WEDDING PAPER ALBUM

A traditional wedding album with physical paper photos is probably the best present for your wedding you can get. You can always open the photo album and browse through beautifully designed wedding pages and creative wedding photos. You can always show it to your relative, children, grandchildren and friends through the years. Having a paper wedding album is an art and will always be our favourite, despite the technologies.

FLASH DRIVES

Probably the most popular way of delivering your wedding images are USB drives. You can simply plug this into your laptop, desktop, TV or even your car. These days USB drives come in big sizes and can store thousands of high-quality images. All photographers will offer a personalized USB drives which can come in boxes and book type covers with your names and photo on top. The design can be very creative and the styling can be done by the wedding photographer or by your choice.

CD / DVD

Delivering the wedding photos on a CD or DVD is becoming a thing of the past as not many people use them these days. Many computers don`t even include CD drives anymore. If you choose to have your wedding photos delivered on a fancy CD/DVD with a wedding cover design, we recommend you to quickly transfer them onto your computer just in case the CD gets scratched or damaged. You can still get both CD/DVD and cloud delivery options from your photographer even if it cost slightly more.

CLOUD SERVICES / DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

When the photos will be delivered as a digital download through the post or through cloud services like google drive or dropbox, the important part is what format to use so the quality is preserved, but the photos are not too big to download. JPEG is the main and most popular format to use for delivery as this is the most used format everywhere. The photographers usually shoot and keep the photos in RAW format, but this is too big for delivery and RAW photos will require post-processing. Once all photos are processed and selected you to discuss with your photographer how many photos you will want. The photographer will upload them onto a cloud service like dropbox and will give you an access for you to download them.
